How to fix the MLB teams #1: New York Mets:

I think the Mets are talented enough to make the playoffs already, and that they only need to do these little steps: 1. Sign Fransisco Rodriguez: Having K-Rod as a guaranteed closer would relieve some of the stress from the merry-go-round of closers the Mets already have. Ask my favorite team, The D-Backs, if a guaranteed closer would help their record some. 2. Trade Ryan Church and an expendable pitcher (Pedro?) for a compotent 2B: Pedro's injury-prone, Church is unhappy, and both could be traded for an above-average 2B prospect (Detroit's Scott Sizemore?). Then the Mets can call up Fernando Martinez to play RF, filling all the needs except C, which free agency could solve. 3. Hire an agressive manager: Just a thought, but someone like Ozzie Guillen would threaten these guys into top shape. Ask Nick Saban if aggresiveness equals effectiveness. This is only the first of all 29 teams (why would the world series champions need help?)
